Your Holiday MUST-READ List

Yesterday was the release day for Ice, Snow, & Mistletoe. I hope that you’ve had a chance to pick up your copy. It is set a year after Walking on Thin Ice and gives John Sullivan his Happily Ever After for the holiday season.

If you’re like me, the holiday season puts you in the mood for warm, angsty, crazy holiday stories. And with all the Christmas stories coming out, I thought I would start a reading list so I don’t miss anything and I’m sure you don’t want to either.

Here is a link to my reading list for last year. I didn’t get the chance to read everything on my list but there are some killer books on there that you need to check out.release, holiday

Of course, I’m going to start my list off with:

Walking on Thin Ice by Jocelynn Drake

Ice, Snow, & Mistletoe by Jocelynn Drake

And yes, I am doing one more holiday novella next year set in this world. I’m still working on the details in my head but I’m loving the characters already.

And now on to the other bits. Here are some new books that you need to pick up:

A Dye Hard Holiday by Aimee Nicole Walker

It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of year for Gabe and Josh Roman-Wyatt as they celebrate their first holidays as fathers, but someone’s war on St. Nick threatens to ruin their holly jolly Christmas.
The Norman Rockwell holiday they had envisioned implodes and shenanigans ensue in true Josh and Gabe style, but that only makes the couple more determined to rejoice in the love and joy they have found in one another. A Black Friday showdown, two foul-mouthed birds, one lumbersexual, ugly Christmas sweaters aplenty, four invading grandparents, and a sexy twist on an advent calendar lead up to oh, holy nights. Catch up with your favorite characters and meet some new faces in a tale that is sure to make you feel as warm as Josh’s creamy, hot-buttered rum concoction.

A Dye Hard Holiday is a funny story about two fathers trying to hold it all together as they juggle busy careers and family life while planning the perfect holiday season. Will they be rocking around the Christmas tree or will it be a blue Christmas? The book is approximately 50,000 words long and is not intended as a standalone book. This supplements the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries series, which should be read in order. This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and over.

Daddy It’s Cold Outside by Max Walker

Beckett Lake exudes power and status, from the top of his perfectly tousled hair to the bottom of his expensive shoes, but he’s never met a man worth lavishing his substantial affections on. Until a chance meeting with the most adorable man on two legs quickly brings out his protective side.

Tin doesn’t realize that Beckett wants more than friendship from him.

Beckett is struggling to come to terms with how fast he is falling.

Vampire Claus by Robert Winter

‘Twas the night before Christmas, but what’s stirring is a little more dangerous than a mouse.

Taviano is nearly two hundred years old and never wakes in the same place twice. Weary and jaded, the vampire still indulges in memories of childhood Christmases in Naples. He lingers in shadow, spying on mortals as they enjoy the holiday.

When Taviano spots a handsome young man in Boston loaded down with presents and about to be mugged, he can’t help but intervene. Soon he’s talking to joyous, naïve, strong-willed and funny Paul, a short-order cook who raised funds to buy Christmas presents for LGBTQ children. Before he knows what’s happened, Taviano is wrapped up in Paul’s arms and then in his schemes to get the presents delivered by Christmas morning.

A vampire turned into a Christmas elf… What could go wrong?

Desperately Seeking Santa by Eli Easton

Journalism student Gabe Martin gets his first professional assignment—to write about a Christmas charity dinner that benefits a children’s home. It sounds like a total snooze-fest until Gabe learns that the event’s Santa is a mystery man. He shows up in costume and no one has a clue who he is. Uncovering Santa’s identity sounds like the perfect angle to turn a fluff piece into serious journalism.

Mack “The Mountain” McDonall, at 6’10”, is University of Wisconsin-Madison’s enormous star wrestler. When Gabe first claps eyes on him at a wrestling match, it’s lust at first sight. Gabe’s friend, Jordan, sets up the pair on a date. But when Gabe chatters on about his plans for outing Santa, Mack goes cold, and their first meeting becomes an epic fail.

As Gabe researches the children’s home, he learns that Mack has secrets a guy famous for being a brute wouldn’t want the world to know. Can Gabe find his holiday spirit, write a killer article, win the heart of a surly giant, and give everyone a very merry Christmas?

It’s early days and he’s worried about putting Luke off before they get to know each other.

Luke is currently working as Santa at the local shopping mall. He figures Theo never has to know. Christmas will be over soon and Luke will move on to a new, less embarrassing job. He’s surprised when Theo and a little boy visit Santa one afternoon. Theo doesn’t recognise Luke, and Luke realises he’s not the only one with a secret.

Despite misgivings on both sides, they start dating, and the chemistry is amazing. But as Christmas approaches their secrets pile up like colourful packages under the tree. If they’re not careful, they’ll lose the best gift of all–each other.
