Want some glimpses of where I work on Unbreakable Bonds? Wild looking desk, isn’t it? I actually had to dismantle part of my original desk to get the Varidesk on top. This was an unexpected recent gift–something I’ve been eyeing a long time. It’s to help me with issues I have when I sit for long periods of time. A car accident gave me some really difficult back problems, so I’ve been trying to alternate sitting and standing while working and it was such a pain doing the constant rearranging of things under my monitor, laptop, keyboard, etc. I’m really hopeful this is going to help.
It is FANTASTIC so far. It’s easy to use and with the different heights, I can move it up and down to change angles for my wrists and neck, too. Because I’m tall, I can bring it up higher than other things I’ve tried. Any tall person knows that normal counter heights are hell on our lower backs.
So I’m excited about this new desk and hope it will help me put out even more work.
And this is my Walking Dead wall. No making fun! My family has a blast finding new posters and action figures on Mother’s Day and my birthday every year. My husband even stained that shelf, then beat it all to hell to make it look post-apocalyptic. I’ve been a post-apocalyptic story fan for a long time and even started publishing a series under my pen name, Dani Worth, years ago. One reviewer called my series Walking Dead without zombies. Talk about a happy dance! Unfortunately, that and my other post-apoc series are on hold at this time. Though…I have plans for MM love stories in those worlds. Nothing is done yet. Out of the six novellas and novels I did as Dani Worth, five are MMF. I’ve actually been publishing LGBTQIA fiction a lot longer than anything else.
I also collect art and figurines from local artist, Nene Thomas. The figurines are packed away still, but I have these sisters up in my office. Until recently, I wrote in a small corner of my master bedroom, so you can probably tell I’m enjoying having my own office.
Here is an image of my very favorite–and the first I bought–Nene Thomas figurine. Faery of Ravens. I actually picked her and the sisters up personally from the artist years ago. It was great to meet her. She’s pretty cool. 😉
Last but not least, I have er, the gaming system. You don’t need a pic of that. LOL. This room IS mostly a writing cave, but sometimes, a girl has just gotta pull out Skyrim.
